Meet Danya

Danya Hiob is a speech-language pathologist (SLP), who graduated in 2015 from McGill University with a Master’s of Science (Applied) in Speech-Language Pathology. She is registered with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CSHBC) and College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). Danya is also a certified member of Speech-Language & Audiology Canada (SAC).

While her professional background includes working with all ages, she is now focusing her services on teen, adult, and senior clients in both British Columbia and Ontario. Regardless of age or communication issue, Danya strives to tailor her speech therapy sessions to each client’s needs and interests. She is passionate about helping teens and adults improve their communication skills in ways that have a meaningful, practical impact on their daily lives.

Danya’s areas of professional interest and focus are: stuttering, social communication, aphasia, speech clarity, professional communication, accent modification, and voice. Danya has completed training for stuttering in the ISTAR Comprehensive Stuttering Program and the Avoidance Reduction Therapy for Stuttering (ARTS®) approach. She also has experience with the Supported Conversation for Adults with Aphasia (SCA) approach to communication partner training. She has been providing primarily online speech therapy services since 2020.

In her free time, Danya enjoys playing guitar, going for walks in nature, and reading. She is currently located in Langley, BC.
